Cariño Cortez-Haass

Rooted in a multi-generational legacy of real estate, Cariño Cortez carries forward an established family tradition that began with her grandfather, who was integral in shaping San Antonio’s downtown landscape beginning with the founding of Mi Tierra Café. With a deep understanding of San Antonio and its vibrant culture, Cortez co-founded Laurel Commercial Real Estate in 2025. She brings a unique blend of historical insight and forward-thinking strategy to each project, ensuring every real estate solution contributes meaningfully to the people and places it touches.

A proud advocate for urban development, Cortez’s real estate expertise spans educational facilities, nonprofit organizations, commercial acquisitions, leasing, and tenant representation—always with a focus on building community-centered spaces that reflect the rich cultural roots of the region.

Based in San Antonio, she also serves clients throughout the Texas Hill Country, Austin, and Houston, offering a nuanced understanding of each market’s character and needs. Known for being deeply embedded in the fabric of the community, Cortez grows and strengthens her business relationships through her community involvement. She is a proud graduate and valedictorian of Alex Briseño Leadership program hosted by the SA Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a graduate of Break-fast and Launch hosted by the city’s small business incubator, a proud member of Leadership San Antonio—class 41, former Board Member of Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, and a member of Les Dames de Escoffier San Antonio Chapter. She graduated cum laude from Abilene Christian University with a BBA in Accounting and Management.

Dennis Cano

Dennis is a native of San Antonio, TX. He holds a BBA degree in Marketing from St. Mary’s University, in Marketing. Prior to joining Cano & Company in 2011, he worked for a top pharmaceutical company for 10 years as a sales and marketing representative. for the past 10 years as a sales representative. During this time, he acquired extensive experience in marketing and business analysis. His commercial real estate experience includes the representation of numerous government agencies, non-profit organizations, corporations, and private individuals. Dennis has completed multi-tract land assemblages and negotiated the acquisition and disposition of numerous commercial office properties, retail properties, and land.

Eric Andrade

Eric Andrade brings a dynamic blend of strategic marketing, community engagement, and relationship-building expertise to his new role in commercial real estate. With over seven years of experience leading recruitment and outreach initiatives across nonprofit and educational organizations, Eric has developed a sharp eye for identifying opportunities, building trust with diverse stakeholders, and driving growth through data-informed strategies.

Most recently, Eric led regional marketing and community relations efforts across Texas for Vertex Education, focusing on launching schools in new communities,  lead generation, CRM optimization, and performance analysis. His ability to cultivate strong connections and deliver measurable results makes him uniquely suited for the fast-paced world of commercial real estate.

Bilingual in English and Spanish and based in New Braunfels, TX, Eric is passionate about helping clients navigate the evolving real estate landscape with clarity, confidence, and a collaborative spirit.
